The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, has announced one of the largest recruitment drives for the post of **Constable (Technical & Tradesmen)**. With 9195 vacancies for male and female candidates, this recruitment is a massive opportunity for the youth of India to join the elite paramilitary force.

State-wise and Trade-wise Vacancy Details

The vacancies are distributed across various trades including Driver, Motor Mechanic, Cobbler, Carpenter, Tailor, Brass Band, Pipe Band, Bugler, Gardener, Cook, Water Carrier, Washerman, Barber, and Safai Karamchari. Candidates can apply for only one trade and within their respective state of domicile.

Recruitment Stages and Selection Process

  1. Computer Based Test (CBT): 100 Objective type questions covering Reasoning, General Knowledge, Mathematics, and Hindi/English.
  2. Physical Standards Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Measurement of height/chest and a race of varying distances depending on the trade.
  3. Trade Test: Practical assessment of the specific skill related to the trade applied for.
  4. Document Verification & Medical Examination: Final verification and health check-up.

Eligibility and Age Limit

  • Driver Post: Age 21-27 years. Must have Heavy Transport Vehicle Driving License.
  • Other Trades: Age 18-23 years. Class 10th pass with proficiency in the respective trade.
  • Relaxation: SC/ST candidates get 5 years and OBC candidates get 3 years age relaxation.

Preparation Guide for CBT

The CBT is the first and most crucial stage. Candidates should focus on high-school level mathematics and basic reasoning. Since the medium of the exam is both Hindi and English, choose the language you are most comfortable with for the language section to score maximum marks.
